The final additions to the M24 family were the M24/47 rifle. These were produced by reworking existing prewar Serbian Model 24 Mausers and then refurbished with new parts at the Zastava Arms (formally Kragujevac Arsenal) plant, which was at that time under the control of the postwar communist government.

2006年10月16日 · Most M24/47 stocks were made of walnut, though in rare cases, red oak can be encountered with the earlier M24/47 profile. During late conversions, wood of the M48 profile began to periodically be used and one can encounter beech and elm stocks with the beefier M48 type stock wrist.

Here we present a Yugoslavian Mauser Model 24/47 Rifle, made circa 1950. The original Model 1924 rifle was used extensively during World War II. The M24/47 was produced again from 1947 through the 1950s and used by the Yugoslav military. These were well-made Mauser rifles that remain very desirable today!

The M24/47 is a Yugo military rifle based on the same Mauser design as the Gewehr 98. The Yugo rifles have a slightly shorter, intermediate length receiver, and uses a straight bolt handle rather than the bent handle common to German Mauser rifles (though some of these rifles may come with a bent handled M48 bolt).
