The M2 Bradley, or Bradley IFV, is an American infantry fighting vehicle that is a member of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle family. It is manufactured by BAE Systems Land & Armaments (formerly United Defense) and entered service in 1981, with fielding beginning in 1983.

The M2 light tank, officially Light Tank, M2, was an American light tank of the interwar period which saw limited service during World War II. The most common model, the M2A4, was equipped with one 37 mm (1.5 in) M5 gun and five .30 cal M1919 Browning machine guns.

M2A2 Bradley. In 1988 the A2 entered production. It featured new large sections of armoured panel along the hull sides and the turret. These also had additional mounts for adding Explosive Reactive Armour. The new armoured panels covered the infantry’s internal firing ports.

2022年10月8日 · The M2A2 and M2A3, while seemingly outdated with their twin turret layouts and armament of only machine guns, were the product of a continuous effort to modernize the armored force of the US Army. With the M2A2 being approved for mass production, the Army could observe and address tangible problems with their designs.

Introduced in Update 1.49 "Weapons of Victory", the M2A2 gives players vital insights into tank design philosophy prior to World War II, when machine guns were utilized as the primary offensive weapons for many light tanks.

2018年10月20日 · Initially the Bradley was protected against 14.5mm projectiles on all sides. The M2A2 provided protection against 30mm projectiles on all sides, and added spall liners.

2024年12月2日 · The Bradley M2A2 is motorized with a new powerful engine Cummins VTA-903 developing 600 hp compared with the 500 hp of the original production vehicle to handle the increased weight of the vehicle. it can run at a maximum road speed of 61 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 400 km.

2025年2月6日 · In 2022, it was announced that the U.S. would send 186 M2A2 Bradleys to Ukraine (some suspect the real number is much higher). The M2A2, despite its age, offered a host of advanced capabilities such as improved armor, better fire control systems, and advanced electronic command and control systems.

By 1935, this prototype formed the basis for the M2 light tank. The first M2 had a one-man turret equipped with a cal.50 (12.7 mm) and a coaxial 7.62 mm (0.3 in) Browning M1919, with another placed in the hull, on a ball mount operated by the co-driver.
