2017年12月29日 · Enter the scenario: I want to build an iron block M52TUB28 to swap into my E46 when the time comes. I'm just not sure if I want to pick up an M52B28 or a TU; I would buy a non-TU if I was sure I could mount the double VANOS from the old M52TUB28 that I pull out.

2008年12月9日 · M52B28 is a DOHC engine, it just doesn't have exhaust cam VANOS (or near as nice of a VANOS setup to work with). The Intake manifolds look completely differently, along with the rest of the engine. The E36 came with the M52B28, the E46 with the M52TUB28, but to verify, here are some pics:

2018年8月10日 · And i thought well since the car has done about 240.000Km, propably the vanos seals are dead, with my fathers recommendation I went with the Beisan systems Dual Vanos seal kit, since my father changed his vanos seal (E39 528i M52B28 Petrol&LPG Hybrid btw) at about 200.000KM and now runs 460.000KM with no issues whatsoever.
