Maryland Route 704 (MD 704) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known as Martin Luther King Jr. Highway, the state highway runs 6.53 mi (10.51 km) from Eastern Avenue at the District of Columbia boundary in Seat Pleasant east to MD 450 in Lanham.

Beginning Sunday, April 7, crews will resurface each direction of MD 704, as well as the access ramps at MD 5. Drivers can expect single-lane closures Sundays through Thursdays 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Crews will also close the access ramps for MD 704 and MD 202 for resurfacing and traffic will be detoured to keep motorists on MD 704 or MD 702.

2025年3月7日 · (October 12, 2023) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration has started a project to improve safety and mobility along MD 704 (Martin Luther King Jr. Highway) between Greenleaf Road and Ardwick Ardmore Road in Glenarden, Prince George’s County. The project is expected to be complete in fall 2024, weather permitting.

I-595/U.S. 50 converge with MD 704 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway) at a parclo interchange (Exit 8) a half mile beyond I-95/495. MD 704 heads southwest to the District of Columbia boundary in Fairmount Heights and northeast to MD 450 (Annapolis Road) along Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway.
