The EMD GP20 is a 4-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division between November 1959 and April 1962. Power was provided by an EMD 16-567D2 16- cylinder turbocharged engine which generated 2,000 horsepower (1,500 kW).

What happened to the CC GP20s after IC repurchased the railroad? Thanks! Some sources also call these locomotives a GP20M; probably to avoid confusion with a real GP20.

2014年11月26日 · You can definitely build your own gp20 engines. My advice is to buy a proto 2000 gp9 and cut the high hood off and get the low nose, new cab, and air cleaner plus any other odds and ends you'll need.
