2021年2月22日 · MK8 is great, albeit not particularly slim. If that's the priority, MK13/14/16 are all excellent choices. From a purely aesthetic perspective, the older rails had that darker, almost red clay shade of DDC that I really like.

2017年11月22日 · When I first received my MK4, which has the same profile as the MK8, I was pretty disappointed. All these guys were singing it's praise, yet it was the worst rail I'd ever felt. Feels exactly like a smooth sided quad rail would feel. Luckily, I was able to add KAC URX3/3.1 rail panels to it and transform it into a round feeling profile.

Cost is a wash, really, since Geissele dropped their prices and now includes their gas block, and BCM also offers an all aluminum KMR at a lower price than the magnesium alloy ones

2017年7月5日 · The NSR with rail covers I got pretty damn hot too, too hot to hold the rail for more than a few seconds. I think it's maybe a little better than the KMR, but hard to say. Overall I think the mk8 does pretty good, considering I ran that socom the hardest and could still somewhat grip the rail without burning myself.

2021年9月2日 · Guys, My work gun is a 16" G Duty Rifle. It came from G with the installed MK8 rail on it. Can anyone confirm if the MK14 rail will use the same barrel nut at the MK8? Im hoping to just slide the MK8 rail off and replace it with a slim rail without having to change the barrel nut.

2018年3月7日 · The MK8 is basically a quad rail with the picatinny shaved off 3 sides. It's built solid as a rock. I'd love to have an MK14 for my other SBR but it's a 12" barrel and G doesn't make an 11" rail.

2021年1月28日 · The front of the rail is .2" behind the shoulder before the threads. The 13.5" gives this same result with a 14.5" barrel and the 10.5" gives the same result with an 11.5" barrel. Now we just need an 11.5" and 12.5" MK16 to round out the set.

2016年1月19日 · I use both the mk8 and mk4 and they are awesome. Light weight, excellent construction, and the proprietary aluminum barrel nut is one of the best in the industry. If you order direct from Geissele, you get tons of free swag and I think they are still running the free gas block deal when you order a rail.
