The Sennheiser MKH 415 T is a medium shotgun microphone, powered by the 12VDC A-B standard (aka DIN 45 595, aka “T” power). It was the forerunner to the popular MKH 416, which is still made.

The MKH 415 T represents a combination of a pressure gradient transducer and an interference microphone. The directional characteristic is super-cardioid at low and medium frequencies, at higher frequencies the directianal pattern is club-shaped.

Custom 48V Phantom to T Power converter box is included, using Nichicon KZ capacitors and Dale RN resistors. This mic requires this converter box to properly power the mic.

Also, be aware that the RF circuit is tuned to the specific capsule; if you change the capsu, you would have to know how to re-tune the RF circuit. I also have a couple of MKH 415T mics; they work very nicely with a P48-to-T12 converter in the line.

2012年10月19日 · As a VO mic, the bass boost from the close proximity of the VO actor is what they like about it. CrewC. I have owned a 415T and currently own a couple of 416 P48s. Having used both mics through the same mic pre (Sound Devices MM-1), I can for sure say the 415T did indeed have a "warmer" sound, and had just the slightest bit more self noise.
