2018年4月24日 · The Bluesound Node 2 can indeed pass an MQA signal via optical. From their website: Bluesound Players are a full MQA playback solution. They will decode and render MQA playback up to 24/192. If however you are connecting an external DAC, the maximum output will be 24/96 and MQA processing is not happening in the DAC.

2023年1月16日 · Using MQA, however, will limit your choices with DACS and streaming services. If you buy an MQA compatible system, you can try both MQA and FLAC files and determine what sounds best to you. I use Qobuz because it sounds good, and it does not involve imposing licensing costs on gear manufacturers or producers of music.

2020年4月8日 · Looking at that specific ifi nano-ione it does not appear to do any MQA processing. With the digital pass through it appears to reclock and regenerate digital signals. There are ifi products that act as DACs with MQA unfolding and have analogue output. The final MQA unfolding is dependent directly on the DAC chip in the final conversion unit.

2020年8月28日 · I understand it is a plug in unit, very easy to install. Also understand it fits in the higher DACs only, with the larger chassis, not in the smaller Amethyst... Aside from comments on SQ, I would also like to know with the MQA card installed, does the unit actually confirm it is processing an MQA signal (via LED or some other means of display)?

2019年1月21日 · I have also had several different MQA DACs through here during this time. I find "almost" without fault that the MQA tracks sound better than their standard CD counterparts. Not all the time, but pretty much. Is MQA perfect, hells no, but I sure do hear an improvement. So for me, and as always, just my opinion, I like MQA...

2017年1月7日 · The above method 'jbhiler' describes even works on non-MQA DACs. I'm listening to TIDAL Masters (MQA) tracks with my Lumin S1. The tracks show as 48K / 24 bit, which is of course is higher than the Redbook standard TIDAL HiFi usually delivers. I'm guessing if my DAC was MQA capable, it would show as 96K / 24 bit.

2020年4月8日 · The only MQA DACs I know of that will decode MQA from an SPDIF input (coaxial or optical) are the Luxman D-03X and D-10X. The D-03X is somewhat reasonable price. Otherwise you’ll need to replace your CXN with a streamer with integral MQA DAC like the LUMINs or get a new streamer with USB out plus MQA DAC.

2017年8月31日 · The AudioQuest DragonFly Red is an inexpensive, MQA capable DAC. In the last few months, newly produced Reds come from the factory ready to "decode" MQA. Older versions of the Red can be updated by the owner. Not sure about MQA ability for the Gen 3 Dragonfly Black.

2018年5月28日 · MQA is a encoded wrapper that just contains the original 24/96 FLAC file data and enforces a restriction on sampling rate if it's not played through an MQA DAC. To me, this is a marketing ploy to force you to buy a MQA DAC. As a result, the MQA DACs can demand more money than they are actually worth.
