And the majority of specialist MTFs are the Foundation's best in that MTF's area of expertise (e.g. Mu-13 is the strongest for paranormal anomalies, Beta-7 for biological, chemical and radioactive anomalies.) There is no "one strongest" MTF.

Whenever the MTF teams show up, they're typically used like Worf in The Next Generation: they exist to make the other thing look tough by suffering. MTF teams are built up as the greatest badasses of all time, but I feel like you never actually see this happening. They either take 90% casualties and barely succeed, or they are slaughtered to a man.
