2021年5月16日 · I have a late2012 MacBook Pro that I upgraded to Catalina (10.15.7) and just received an identical late 2012 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.5 and I can't upgrade it at all. I need to get to at least 10.9 to upgrade other software that has that as a minimum requirement. I can't find anything on the Apple website or the app store.

The answer is two-step and simple as long as Apple keeps the support page alive. First you download and install Yosemite, then you can use the App Store to get Catalina installed. That's it!
