Madison Township is one of the five townships of Lake County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census the population was 18,492. It is the largest township in Ohio by area.

The Madison Township Service Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Township's 53 miles of roadways; stormwater systems, maintaining five parks and seven cemeteries, as well as township owned buildings and grounds.

Madison Township is located in southwestern Ohio in the watershed of the Great Miami River. On its borders are three counties– Warren, Montgomery and Preble- while the township itself is within the county of Butler.

The Township was established as a part of the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 but it took until 1810 for the population to grow to 500 which was required to become a Township in Ohio. Now, Madison Township has approximately 3,988 households and is one of only three “large townships” in Franklin County.
