Manuel Rivero (November 3, 1908 – August 23, 2001), nicknamed "The Golden Flash", was an American football, basketball, and baseball player and coach. A native of Havana, Cuba, Rivero was a three-year football lettermen at Columbia University from 1930 to 1932.

Manuel Rivero, born in 1908, is recognized for his many athletic achievements and his distinguished career (1934 to 1977) as Athletic Director, Administrator, and multi-sport coach at Lincoln University (Chester County, PA).

Manuel Rivero, who served Lincoln University and the Department of Athletics for a total of 55 years, founded and chaired the Health, Recreation and Physical Education Department in 1947. He served as chair and athletic director until he retired in 1977.

Manuel Rivero Hall is home to the Lincoln University men’s and women’s basketball teams and volleyball team. Opened in 1973, Rivero Hall has a seating capacity of 2,500. The venue has hosted over 1,000 basketball games and volleyball matches.

Manuel Ray Rivero (1924 – November 12, 2013) was a Cuban born engineer, politician and revolutionary, who was later involved in civic and professional actitivities in Puerto Rico. [1] He received a scholarship from the Cuban Ministry of Public Works to study civil engineering at the University of Utah .
