But yeah if you are pretty confident you want to stay in Econ, 202 is probably better. I will say, I didn't think 212 was as hard as the other commenters in this thread, so I wouldn't be ultra scared to take it.

2019年8月26日 · The following comes advice come from me, the resident dumbass who decided that taking Orgo 1 and Math 212 first semester freshman year was a great idea. Spoilers: it wasn't. Math 212 is pretty finicky in that your experience will depend heavily on who your professor is and the grading is super weird.

2017年7月28日 · Incoming sophomore here who took Math 212 last fall. Don't worry! I missed out on a couple classes the first time I registered. I'd say it doesn't matter too much. I personally had a Chinese post-doc who gave very hard midterms and was hard to understand but the class as a whole ended up doing very well.

I'd recommend taking both 212 and 236, and then 311. If you don't want to go down the linear algebra route, and it's strictly 212 vs 236 then take 236.

I'm concerned that learning a semester's worth of math in 6 weeks would be way too fast paced/overwhelming and it might be more digestible if i take it this fall.
