(And given her chronic kidney disease, I definitely must keep protein at a minimun, so I did not feed that one again without really finding out if the diffr was even signif enough to actually matter.)

2009年12月28日 · From what I gather, Mazuri is the best formulated Tortoise food. I feed mine only Mazuri and once a week Salad mix, Hibiscus but 90% of the time Mazuri. Do a search here on Mazuri and you will get a lot of info. Ed(Ej) here swears by it as it has worked very well for his tortoises over many years.

2018年5月29日 · Mazuri is a supplement to a varied diet. On their label they say to provide grass, hay, browse, fruit and veggies. Percentages of these vary by species of tort. My RF get Mazuri once or twice per week. When I prep it on the table a ways away from their outdoor pen, they smell it, perk right up and can’t wait to dig into it.

Mazuri Tortoise Diet LS - Crude Protein (min 12.0%) Crude Fiber (max 22.0%) Mazuri Small Tortoise Diet LS - Crude Protein (min 20.0%) Crude Fiber (max 15.0%) Small Tortoise Diet LS seems to have too much protein and low fiber. It's strange they would change the formula for smaller tortoises.

2024年4月13日 · Thank you for various information and opinion. I think that most people need processed food like Mazuri so that their tortoses can be healthy and alive long time. I feed various fresh greens and pellet food almost half and half everyday in order to headge invisible risk. I believe Mazuri is the best artificial food so far.

2011年11月12日 · Tom, when you feed Mazuri, do you measure it out? Mazuri's guideline, at least the last time I looked, says feed 2-4% of the tortoise's weight. I assume that would be a complete daily feeding for a single tortoise. My tortoise likes Mazuri, but I can't see him eating a pound of it in one day.
