2024年6月24日 · Although Erica Larkin cites Earnest Jones 'swing the clubhead' as an influence from the bits I've read and some of Larkin's videos I get the impression that her teachings are based on a more body led swing whereas Jones (and MDLT) advocated an arms led swing. Or am I totally wrong?

2014年4月24日 · A lesson with MDLT is quite an experience, but there is no magic fairy dust he sprinkles on you when you step on the lesson tee. It is all in the book and the instruction is a very precise exercise in applying the principles in the book.

While there isn’t too much available content regarding club-focused instruction online relative to body-focused instruction, I’ve been happy to see such awesome praise for the teachings of MDLT from @juststeve and other members of GolfWRX.

On the other hand, with irons and other long clubs, I have a different experience - good feeling and good speed in the club. 2023年8月16日 · There are a couple of videos of MDLT seminars on YouTube, made in the 80's. On at least one of them, he demonstrates the backswing. For me, seeing it is more helpful than reading about it.

2021年8月26日 · Just got the package from The Academy. Very much similar to Manuel de la Torre without the arms mentioned. Strictly hands swing the club head. Claim to be the only one teaching the Ernest Jones Way. Apparently MDLT by changing the hands to the arms on the downswing deviated from Jones . Not going...

(Thanks for all the great info across various pages) I feel as though everytime i try and “swing” faster, i feel as though i am using leverage, which according to the Ernest/MDLT method is incorrect.
