At the very heart of Baikonur Cosmodrome, at Site 112, stood largest structures of the space center. A main assembly and processing building, known as MIK RN or MIK 112, was originally built for the N1 moon rocket.
Reparation of the MIK 112′s roof - Buran-Energia
Aug 17, 2007 · Since November 2006 the Baikonur’s authorities have decided to repair the MIK 112′s roof. This building was built during the 60′s to shelter the production line of the new soviet lunar launcher the N1. At the late 70′s and during the 80′s it was reused for the Energia launcher and Buran (final integration tests).

Sep 28, 2010 · Infamous integration building RN “Energia” (MIK-112). It was built in 1966-67 to make a Soviet missile for flying to the Moon - N-1. This construction height - 80m, area - 254×112m. When the repeated flights program was over, building 112 was subject to barbarian plunder of the locals.

Oct 17, 2017 · Buran was lifted into space, on an unmanned mission, by the specially designed Energia rocket. After the first flight of a Buran shuttle, the project was suspended due to lack of funds and the political situation in the Soviet Union. On 12 May 2002 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome the MIK 112 hangar collapsed as a result of poor maintenance.

Dec 22, 2005 · Each day follows the last, always seeming alike: departure at 7:30 every morning in the bus from the Sputnik hotel, the modern establishment specially built by Starsem eight years ago. The trip to MIK 112, the building hosting GIOVE-A, lasts around 40 minutes but you hardly can see anything of the Kazakh countryside, because it is still dark.
