2016年5月24日 · I've performed another test and I'm now pretty sure the format profile is the problem. The trouble is, I've tried to convert an MKV to DVD using various tools and they all failed. I suppose I should start another thread in the appropriate forum. MJA, I don't understand. Why would I want to convert MKV to M2TS? My TV doesn't play that format.

I can see it properly and I can also choose the language, but I can't set any subtitles (the icon is disable). This TV has a USB port which is capable of playing movies in *.avi format. But my source of movies (my local area network movie shearing server) has most of the movies in *.mkv format.

2024年11月30日 · It seems that the MKV file has subs contained within the mkv container as well as the external. Just delete the srt and load the mkv into mkvmergegui and see if there are indeed any internal subs, if so just untick all but the video and audio and remux. No re encoding is involved so no loss of quality.

Seems like few folks realize that Hollywood never made 16:9 movies. They never even made 4:3 movies. 16:9 and 4:3 were used only for TV shows and tv films.

2014年1月28日 · Most TV media players can only handle SRT subtitles correctly as a separate file, not muxed into a .mkv. You need to check your TV's manual to find out subtitle format is recommended for mkv files, and whether the subtitles should be muxed into the mkv or provided as a separate file.

2014年6月9日 · My two-year old LG 65LW6500 will recognize muxed .srt subs. But it was an upper tier model at the time. So either LG didn't include that capability on your particular TV, or you're buggering the subs somehow.
