POLYMOL is the registered trademark for polyether polyol produced by MOL Petrochemicals Ltd. in Tiszaújváros. In general, POLYMOL grades are produced with KOH catalyst using our own propylene-oxide as monomer from our own state of the art HPPO plant.

Polyols are a key raw material for polyurethanes, which are one of the most widely used plastics with many areas of applications. Polyurethanes are used in significant quantities e.g. by the automotive, furniture, packaging and construction industries.

The construction of the Polyol complex within MOL Petrochemicals, Tiszaújváros, Hungary, is well underway. Overall completion of the construction stands already at 90%. Watch our status video about it.

2019年9月27日 · MOL Petrochemicals in Tiszaújváros will be the only company in Hungary and the entire Central and Eastern European region with an integrated value chain from crude oil extraction to the production of polyether polyols (widely used raw materials in plastics). The polyol project will provide long-term employment opportunity for 200 people.

The Tiszaújváros plant will produce polyol using one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly methods available today. According to MOL's calculations, the plant will contribute nearly EUR 150 million annually to the MOL Group's financial results and will provide long-term employment for nearly 300 people.
