The diamond is the Russian proof mark (not to be confused with the 100+ year old proofs). Bn is the trademark for Molot.

Even within the same country, there will be differences, such as the Russians using factory logos for Ishevsk or Tula or "M" for Molot. Magazines also vary depending on whether they were originally designed for the AK-47 or AKM in the same country.

2019年2月27日 · I've not yet seen a Russian drum that did not have Molot's star in shield proof. They are painted black. My Molot drums are from the former DDR. DDR didn't make their own RPK - they bought Soviet Molots until Molot ceased production in the 1970's, then DDR bought Romanian RPK after.

2021年7月5日 · Molot steel 40s don't always have star/shield stamps on the spine. We know that the first euro type Molot 40s didn't have them, but some second euro type don't either. My guess is that when they first started making RPK mags (type 1), they didn't stamp them.
