The Malboro (モルボル, Moruboru?), also known as the Molbol, Morbol or Mad Oscar, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, debuting in Final Fantasy II. It is a large, green, tentacled plant-like creature, with an anemone-like head and large mouth lined with sharp teeth.

Morbols are known to carry some pieces of not-so-rare-but-usable-armor. For example, those found in Pashhow Marshlands carry the useful Dodge Headband, those found in Ordelle's Caves can be spotted with a Shield Pendant, those in Davoi carry a massive great sword, and those in Eldieme Necropolis utilize the Avenger's Earring.

The foul cocktail of bile and partially digested prey that accumulates within these giant carnivorous plants’ bellies makes their breath so spectacularly rancid that it can be used as a weapon to repel would-be attackers.

The morbol is a terrible beast that moves upon its slime-covered vines and roots. Highly aggressive, it kills both animals and plants with a combination of its noxious breath and ceaselessly flailing tendrils. Upon occasion, the beast will also emit a sweet-smelling gas which induces a deep sleep.
