2024年11月29日 · Wilfred Yiu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Co-Chief Operating Officer and Co-Head of Markets, will retire at the end of 2024 following a distinguished career in the financial services industry. Mr Yiu will also retire as Chief Executive of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) and Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE).

Mr. Pokman Yiu is the Investment Director of Basel Capital, a multi-family office based in Hong Kong specialized in private real estate investments. Prior with Basel, Mr. Yiu was the the Co-Founder and Deputy CEO of a private family office and the Investment Director and Portfolio Manager of Gopher Asset Management.

The Board is pleased to confirm the appointment of Mr Yiu Ka Yan, Wilfred as Deputy Chief Executive of HKEX effective 1 March 2024. Mr Yiu will also continue to act as the Co-Chief Operating Officer of HKEX. The SFC has approved the appointment of Mr Yiu as Deputy Chief Executive under Section 70 of the SFO.

Mr Yiu was appointed Executive Director, Airport Operations, in December 2022. Mr Yiu has been in the aviation industry for over 30 years. He joined AAHK in 1995 and held various management positions in airport operations, including technical services, airfield and terminal management.

Wilfred Yiu was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited on 1 March 2024. In addition to this role, Mr Yiu acts as Co-Chief Operating Officer and Co-Head of Markets, with oversight of HKEX’s Markets and IT divisions.

Mr Yiu is the Chairman of Everest-Fortune (China) Commercial Factoring Co., Ltd, a company principally engaged in factoring business in Mainland China. He is in charge of over RMB250M in factoring contracts with clients, and he is constantly adjusting the factoring portfolio to ensure a diversified client base.
