The Mitsubishi MU-2 is a Japanese high-wing, twin-engine turboprop aircraft with a pressurized cabin manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It made its maiden flight in September 1963 and was produced until 1986. It is one of postwar Japan's most successful aircraft, with 704 manufactured in Japan and San Angelo, Texas, in the United States.

First flying in 1963 and remaining in production until 1986, MU 2 pre-owned models remain for sale. Variants of the MU 2 featuring engine and fuel capacity improvements included the 2F, 2P, 2N, 2K, 2B, Marquise, and Solitaire.

From the compact size to the very sturdy landing gear (which was copied from the F-104 Starfighter), the MU-2 exudes trust. This aircraft weighs more than the new light jets, resulting in an exceptionally robust airframe.
