NGC 3314 - Wikipedia
NGC 3314 is a pair of overlapping spiral galaxies between 117 and 140 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra. This unique alignment gives astronomers the opportunity to measure the properties of interstellar dust in the face-on foreground galaxy (NGC 3314a).

chance alignment mimics a cosmic collision - ESA/Hubble
2012年6月14日 · The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has produced a highly detailed image of a pair of overlapping galaxies called NGC 3314. While the two galaxies look as if they are in the midst of a collision, this is in fact a trick of perspective: the two just happen to appear in the same direction from our vantage point.
APOD: 2005 May 7 - NGC 3314: When Galaxies Overlap
NGC 3314 is about 140 million light-years away in the multi-headed constellation Hydra. This color composite was constructed from Hubble Space Telescope images made in 1999 and 2000.
NGC 3314: A Tale of Two Galaxies - HubbleSite
This image from the Hubble Space Telescope shows a rare view of a pair of overlapping galaxies, called NGC 3314. The chance alignment of the two galaxies, as seen from Earth, gives a unique look at the silhouetted spiral arms in the closer face-on spiral, NGC 3314A.
