NGC 3810 - Wikipedia
NGC 3810 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Leo. It is about 50 million light years from Earth, and estimated to be about 60,000 light years in diameter. William Herschel discovered it on 15 March 1784.
NGC 3810: A picture-perfect spiral - ESA/Hubble
2010年5月31日 · The bright galaxy NGC 3810 demonstrates classical spiral structure in this very detailed image from Hubble. The bright central region is thought to be forming many new stars and is outshining the outer areas of the galaxy by some margin. Further out the galaxy displays strikingly rich dust clouds along its spiral arms.
Hubble Images NGC 3810 (annotated) - NASA Science
2024年9月26日 · This NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image depicts the spiral galaxy NGC 3810. The galaxy was part of a 2023 Hubble observing program to improve the accuracy of distance measurements made using Type Ia supernovae.
NGC 3810 with annotated supernova - ESA/Hubble
2024年7月8日 · This image depicts the spiral galaxy NGC 3810, which in 2023 was included in a Hubble programme to improve the accuracy of distance measurements made using Type Ia supernovae. This was only possible because a white dwarf in NGC 3810 had just gone supernova, and Hubble captured this image before the supernova faded from view.
NGC 3810 Demonstrates Classical Spiral Structure in New Hubble …
2024年7月8日 · This Hubble image shows NGC 3810, a spiral galaxy some 50 million light-years away in the constellation of Leo. The color image is composed of infrared, optical and ultraviolet observations from both Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) and Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) instruments.

Spiral Galaxy NGC 3810 & Supernova SN2022zut in Leo - Friends …
2024年7月8日 · NGC 3810, the galaxy featured in this image, was the host of a Type Ia supernova in 2022. In early 2023 Hubble focused on this and a number of other galaxies to closely examine recent Type Ia supernovae. This kind of supernova results from a white dwarf exploding, and they all have a very consistent brightness.
NGC 3810, Spiral Galaxy - Kopernik Observatory & Science Center
NGC 3810 has a classic face-on, spiral galaxy shape and is rather 'open' and symmetrical in structure. The central region appears to be star bursting or at least has a high surface brightness compared to the outer regions.
