NGC 4532 is a Irregular Galaxy in the Virgo constellation. NGC 4532 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its B magnitude of 12.3, NGC 4532 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 8 inches (200mm) or more.

2008年6月18日 · We report the discovery of a ~500 kpc HI extension southwest of the Virgo Cluster HI-rich pair NGC 4532/DDO 137, detected as part of the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA (ALFALFA) Survey.

From Redmond , NGC4532 is visible in the morning sky, becoming accessible around 21:28, when it reaches an altitude of 21° above your eastern horizon. It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 01:45, 48° above your southern horizon. It will be lost to dawn twilight around 05:24, 27° above your south-western horizon.

Both NGC 4532 and Holmberg VII were on my to-do list. If I'd not been around to override the system it would have taken two images centered on each galaxy. Fortunately, I caught it and saw I could put both into the same field saving me imaging time which with the cloudy weather we've had that is very hard to come by.
