NGC 6027 is a lenticular galaxy which is the brightest member of Seyfert's Sextet, a compact group of galaxies. [2] It was discovered by French astronomer Édouard Stephan on 20 March 1882. [3]

It has an apparent size of 0.4 by 0.2 arcminutes. The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Édouard Stephan, director of the Marseilles Observatory, in June of 1882.
