NGC 6058 is a Planetary Nebula in the Hercules constellation. NGC 6058 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 12.9, NGC 6058 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 10 inches (250mm) or more.

The planetary nebula NGC 6058 was discovered by William Herschel and classified as the 637th object in his Very faint Nebulae class. The true nature of the nebula was not recognized until 1918 by Curtis. NGC 6058 is about 13'000 light-years away.

It will then reach its highest point in the sky at 05:47, 86° above your northern horizon. It will be lost to dawn twilight around 06:15, 83° above your north-western horizon.
