NGC 642 is a Galaxy in the Sculptor constellation. NGC 642 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. Given its B magnitude of 13.58, NGC 642 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 14 inches (350mm) or more.

NGC 642 est une très vaste galaxie spirale barrée située dans la constellation du Sculpteur.
