The star-forming region around NGC 6726 in the southern constellation of Corona Australis (Southern Crown) about 400 – 500 light years distant is a complex association of dust, beautiful blue reflection nebula and unusual objects referred to as Herbig-Haro (HH) objects.
NGC 6726 - Reflection Nebula in Corona Australis - TheSkyLive
NGC 6726 is a Reflection Nebula in the Corona Australis constellation. NGC 6726 is situated south of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the southern hemisphere. The image below is a photograph of NGC 6726 from the Digitized Sky Survey 2 (DSS2 - see the credits section) taken in the red channel.
NGC 6726 - IRIDA Observatory
NGC 6726 and NGC 6727 - This spectacular reflection nebulae in Corona Australis are the result of a few bright stars caught up in a large, dusty cloud. The peculiar yellowish curved streak near the two bright reflection nebulae surrounds an intriguing object best seen in infrared light.
NGC 6726 (Miles Zhou) - AstroBin
NGC 6726 is the brightest in a complex of several reflection nebulae located between two variable stars (R CrA and T CrA) in Corona Australis. The complex is brightest near R CrA.
NGC 6726/NGC 6727 AND MORE - Astrodrudis
2018年9月20日 · The blue nebular complex consists of four catalogued objects: NGC 6726 (the left half of the reflection nebula on the right -Northwest-), NGC 6727 (the right half of the reflection nebula on the right), NGC 6729 (the upper portion of the nebula on the right) and IC 4812, the reflection nebula located on the left side of the picture (see ...
APOD: 2015 January 8 - Stars and Dust in Corona Australis
The dust clouds effectively block light from more distant background stars in the Milky Way. But the striking complex of reflection nebulae cataloged as NGC 6726, 6727, and IC 4812 produce a characteristic blue color as light from the region's young hot stars is reflected by the cosmic dust.

2023年7月3日 · Those two stars along with the two bright stars in the upper left illuminate these reflection nebulae, NGC 6726, the left lobe, and IC 4812 on the lower right. Their light is reflected by the surrounding dust creating the beautiful blue filaments.
NGC 6726 (Anteater Nebula) - AstroBin
This image captures reflection nebulae, dark nebulae, HH objects and a star cluster in the southern constellation of Corona Australis (The Southern Crown) at a declination of -37 degrees. The complex...
The Anteater Nebula (NGC 6726, NGC 6727, NGC 4812 et al)
Beneath NGC 6726/6726, there is a multicolored mixed emission/reflection nebula, known as NGC 6729. It was discovered by Johann Friedrich Julius Schmidt at Athens Observatory in 1861. It is lit up by the variable star R CrA and is actually about 100 light years closer to us than the blue reflection nebulae we see.
