NGC 7022 is a barred lenticular galaxy located about 95 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Indus. [2][3] The galaxy was discovered by astronomer John Herschel on October 2, 1834.

Given its B magnitude of 14.04, NGC 7022 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 14 inches (350mm) or more.
