NGC 7184 is a Galaxy in the Aquarius constellation. NGC 7184 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its visual magnitude of 11.2, NGC 7184 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 6 inches (150mm) or more.

But then I read that some scientists believe that the tiny edge-on bright galaxy just above the core is actually a dwarf satellite of NGC 7184. Its diameter of 10,000 light years is only a fraction of the main galaxy and could explain the interesting structure of NGC 7184.

NGC 7184 is a great spiral galaxy in southern Aquarius that is listed as a barred ring galaxy with a Low Luminosity Active Galactic Nucleus about 110 million light-years from us. It is also a huge spiral.
