A barred spiral is a galaxy with whirling, pinwheeling, spiral arms, and a bright centre that is intersected by a bar of gas and stars.

NGC 7541 is a Galaxy in the Pisces constellation. NGC 7541 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its B magnitude of 12.7, NGC 7541 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 10 inches (250mm) or more.

NGC 7541 and NGC 7537 are probably a true galaxy pair, although this is not 100% certain. They are both spiral galaxies at a distance of around 33 Mpc. NGC 7537 is classed as Sbc and NGC 7541 as SBc i..e. a barred spiral. Both galaxies are see close to edge on.
