NGC 7769 is an unbarred spiral galaxy in the constellation of Pegasus. Its velocity with respect to the cosmic microwave background is 3855 ± 25 km/s, which corresponds to a Hubble distance of 56.85 ± 4 Mpc (~185 million light-years). [1] It was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel on 18 September 1784. [2]

NGC 7769 is a Spiral Galaxy in the Pegasus constellation. NGC 7769 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. Given its B magnitude of 12.77, NGC 7769 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 10 inches (250mm) or more.

2019年12月28日 · NGC 7769 (UGC 12808, PGC 72615 and others) is a LINER-type AGN spiral to the right of center. NGC 7771 (UGC 12815, PGC 72638 and others) is the spiral to the left (east) of NGC 7769. NGC 7770 (UGC 12813, PGC 72635 and others) is the elliptical below NGC 7771. All of these are approximately 195 million light-years away in Pegasus.

An isolated group of three galaxies, NGC 7769 ( LINER, Sb, 180 Mly) is at upper left and the smaller NGC 7770 (Sa, 193 Mly) is to the right of NGC 7771 (SBa) at bottom center. PGC 214993 is just above NGC 7770. The faint galaxy just below NGC 7769 is not identified.
