NGC 890 is a lenticular galaxy in the constellation Triangulum. It is estimated to be 180 million light-years from the Milky Way [ 3 ] and has a diameter of approximately 130,000 ly. NGC 890 was discovered on September 13, 1784 by Wilhelm Herschel .

NGC 890 is a Elliptical/Spiral Galaxy in the Triangulum constellation. NGC 890 is situated north of the celestial equator and, as such, it is more easily visible from the northern hemisphere. Given its visual magnitude of 11.62, NGC 890 is visible with the help of a telescope having an aperture of 8 inches (200mm) or more.
