They recommend R rated plugs for any vehicle that uses computers / electronics to adjust performance as the electrical interference may affect those devices. May also affect GPS.

2015年10月27日 · A perfect Iridium replacement for the MR*F would be a CPR*EIX, but the only thing NGK has in production is the CPR*EIX-9. Therefore a CPR*EIX-9 properly gapped at .030 would be the best choice. (the asterisk represents heat ranges from 2 (hot) through 12 (cold) - heat range is a completely different topic).

2023年12月24日 · The factory plug is NGK-R and we replaced with auto lite equivalent but I don’t believe it has an R in the number of the new plug now that I think about it. Will pick up another of the factory NGK-R plugs today. It does not spit or sputter or miss at all when it’s running. Runs like a top and sounds good.

Prior to getting it remapped, I switched to an NGK, and it reduced the backfiring significantly. The remap addressed the rest.
