The Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Navy Base (NKP), formerly Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base, is a Royal Thai Navy facility used for riverine patrols along the Mekong River.

2023年12月9日 · Arrived at NKP early Oct, 1967 assigned to the 23rd TASS as a Nail FAC, call sign Nail 59. Flew 222 missions in the O-2A. Departed late Septermber 1968. Retired from USAF in 1984.

Nakhon Phanom RTAFB, Thailand: Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (NKP) was just 75 miles from North Vietnam, somewhat north of Vietnam’s De-Militarized Zone (DMZ) at the 17th parallel, and a straight 230-mile flight from downtown Hanoi.

2025年3月5日 · Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (RTAFB) is located in Northeast Thailand by the Thai city of Nakhon Phanom, also known as NKP. Detachment 3 of the 6994th Security Squadron conducted operations at NKP between 4 April 1969 and 1 December 1972, when it relocated to Ubon RTAFB, Thailand.

NKP was a Top Secret camp from which numerous special operations were run and from which the "CIA's secret war in Laos" (as today's history books refer to it) was run. Pathet Lao insurgents regularly blew up flight facilities equipment and sappers harassed and hit the camp.
