2017年4月29日 · I also know that NMB used in the States has a paper filler that can wick water whereas in Canada we have NMD which does not have paper in it but otherwise appears the same as NMB. I was gonna pull some 10/3 through a pipe to the garage since the conduit was already started but cant readily find if this is acceptable.

2015年1月31日 · The wire feeding the 15 Kw furnace is older NMD, and it's blue. Not sure about the colour coding and whether or not it's Nmd 7 or 6. The house was built in the 70's. Any idea what size wire it might be? Thanks in advance.

2013年12月11日 · If the pipe does not constitute an “assembly”, it is simply mechanical protection. Once you make it an assembly, they you are required to use the RW or TW types of wire (for wet / underground). Regardless of the size of pipe, you still cannot put NMD wire in a wet location, so the wire need to be W or U rated. Same applies for NMD above ground.

2021年7月29日 · If you had plywood that made a "barrier" and the cable was run on the vertical on the opposite side of that, I would think that would be suitably protected; however if you look specifically at the rule, the wire is not allowed outside the 1 m distance on the vertical.

2013年10月1日 · Also it appears the LVT wire is mixed in with the NMD wire, also a no-no if memory serves. Also that looks like a heating/air duct that the wires are touching, if it's heating duct there has to be 1" of space minimum between the duct and the wire. I can't remember if it is a code requirement but it looks like you've got the stove wire in there too.
