Going thru the pic websites i had stumbled across this unusuall car. I've seen someone say it was an sd35 and now its used as a test car. What exactly does it do? and what is under the hood?

SD35/SDP35/SD28 Phases: Ia- three latched engine room doors, older fuel tank profile, older radiator grills, sets of three louvers on both battery boxes, flat under the front headlight (roads that used rotating lights had a bulge under the numberboard assembly), older Flexicoil trucks.

2005年5月9日 · Production of the 35 line ended in January 1966, so NS 2993 would have been among the last built. The "1966" line really went into production in 1965 with the SD45 in Febuary and prototype SD40x and GP40x units being built later in November of the same year. 1966 saw production of the 40's start, with the 38's following in 1967 and 39's in 1968.
