The EMD SD80MAC was a 5,000 horsepower (3.7 MW) C-C diesel-electric locomotive. It was powered by a 20-cylinder version of EMD's 710G prime mover, and was the second diesel locomotive by GM-EMD to use a V20 engine, since EMD's SD45 series.

1 天前 · SD80MAC's Retired....NS has retired and sold its former Conrail EMD SD80MAC fleet of 29 units (NS 7200-7228). Six of the units, 7206, 7215, 7218, 7225, 7226, and 7227 were sold to Canadian Pacific Railway.

2012年9月9日 · Just added this NS SD80MAC because my NS fleet lacked big power. This model has been around for a little while now but still holds up fine given it’s price tag. There are no additional skins or opening doors but there are cab lights, walkway lights, illuminated number boards and it will consume sand and diesel.

2 天之前 · It is with great sadness to announce that Progress Rail has scrapped all 23 of their ex-NS SD80MACs as their engines have been used for boats, despite vigorous efforts from the Conrail Preservation Society. There are currently six remaining SD80MACs under CP Rail ownership as they are currently parts units for the CP SD70ACUs.
