The NYS&W is currently an all-EMD powered railroad. The WNY&P still operates M630 and M636 MLW locomotives, but these units were scheduled be removed from service in Summer 2019 and replaced by GE AC6000CWs that formerly served with CSX Transportation. The WNYP M-630s and M-636s are reportedly going to the Delaware-Lackawanna in the future.

2025年2月4日 · Today the NYSW ran an equipment move over the CSX Chicago Line, between the Utica, N.Y. shop and NYSW interchange in Solvey, near Syracuse, N.Y.. With a CSX and NYSW crew onboard the special was lead by M636 #3672 pulling NYSW E9s 2402 & 2400, RDC M-5, business car 510 and two covered hoppers.

Sitting in the joint DL--Steamtown--Scranton Trolley Museum yard are DL Alcos 3642 and 3643, the big 3600-hp haulers of the line. Sitting behind the raddy-looking coaches (filled with bees of all kinds) is CNYX F7A 97A. At the platform in the background is a trolley for the Trolley Museum. Get a look at this old rusty F7A.

This unit arrived in Gang Mills yesterday/the night before with an NYSW SD40T-2 (the 3012 or 14). It departed about 4pm with the B&H's C424's (BH 422/LAL423) for Cohocton. This means that all eight of the C/M636's have returned to to the B&H since their "trip" to the NYS&W.
