The EMD SD60 is a 3,800 horsepower (2,800 kW), six-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, intended for heavy-duty drag freight or medium-speed freight service. It was introduced in 1984, and production ran until 1995.

Just over 4 years ago on August 9, 2018 the NYS&W Railway had a catastrophic derailment due to a micro-burst induced washout near Deposit, NY. Two SD60's were totalled; NYSW 3800 (OKY 9016) and 3806 (OKY 9067) ex Oakway's. These photos were taken September 25, 2018 about a month and a half later as they sat in Deposit, NY awaiting their fate.

The SD60 fleet was replaced by SD70M-2's by late Spring 2021. This transition was exacerbated by the fact we had just started installing and testing PTC in the SD60's.
