The New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER) is an independent, educational research organisation that provides educators, students, parents, policy makers, and the public with innovative and independent research, analysis, and advice.

NZCER develops and supports a comprehensive set of assessments and surveys to help schools support ākonga through their educational journey. Our tools are evidence-based, robustly designed and aligned to our goals of an equitable education sector that upholds its obligations to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

2024年8月14日 · Since 2023, NZCER has been refreshing its PATs with an explicit equity focus, updating designs and content to ensure all ākonga are represented in these assessments. This includes the development of new tests, recalibration of norms and measurement scales, additional support, as well as (in some cases) an expansion of who the tests can be for.
