NCIPD is the only non-university institution in Bulgaria certified for PhD and postgraduate training in the fields of epidemiology, microbiology, virology, parasitology, immunology and allergy. NCIPD has nearly 140 years’ experience in the development and production of vaccines, serums and bio-products with therapeutic and diagnostic application.

BB-NCIPD EAD is a commercial company, 100% state-owned, with over 130 years of history. BB-NCIPD EAD became a separate entity at the end of 2000 based on the production department of the National Center of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases that had a long history in the manufacture of biopreparations.
