NET Playhouse was an American dramatic television anthology series produced by National Educational Television. NET subsequently merged with WNDT Newark to form WNET, and was superseded by the Public Broadcasting Service, though the NET title did remain.

National Educational Television (NET) was the predecessor network to PBS, launching on May 16, 1954 and ceasing operations on October 4, 1970. Despite its closure, NET's production units carried the name over to shows they produced for PBS until 1972.

A still version appears at the beginning of Great Decisions 1966, except the "NET" is replaced with "NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION PRESENTS". A special variant exists on Spectrum. It starts with a rotating 3D model of the program's logo, which is the text "SPECTRUM:" placed horizontally through an angled six-pane window.

Logo: This logo consists of the typewriter letters " NET ", each in a segmented rounded square, on a white map of the U.S. inside a black circle on a white background, with what looks like an antenna on the map.
