NETA Certified Technicians are technicians who are employed by a NETA Accredited Company. They have achieved NETA Certification at Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 through successful completion of the NETA examinations and meet continuing education, training, and years of experience requirements.

NETA offers recognition of four levels of competency within the electrical testing industry in accordance with ANSI/NETA ETT Standard for Certification of Electrical Testing Technicians. Levels 2, 3, and 4 are attained through certification exams administered by Pearson VUE.

Many of the questions I had on the test were relating to things Ive never even done or tested before. Atleast expose yourself to many of the niche items in the specs, it will help.

Blowout coils may be used to extinguish the arc by means of a magnetic blast. The arc created when the contacts open is subjected to the action of a magnetic field set up by coils connected in series with the circuit being interrupted. These coils are called blowout coils because they help blow out the arc magnetically.
