2024年6月3日 · Textron Systems has delivered the US Navy’s Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 109 as part of the service’s Ship-to-Shore Connector (SCC) fleet expansion. The SSC program is an ongoing effort to employ and modernize replacements for the US Department of Defense’s older hovercrafts in service since the late 1980s.

The SSC is the next generation of the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC), providing a modernized means to reach the world's shorelines for the next 30 years. The all-aluminum craft offers increased performance, reliability and maintainability and meets the Marine Corps’ requirements for increased payload and availability.
