When I run Prime95 (either small or large FFts) the temp immediately shoots up to the high 80's on a few cores in about 5 seconds.

2022年6月22日 · Let me know the pros and cons on both parts please. I am leaning towards the Noctua for clearance / DB noise compared to the IceGiant. Where a few reviews stated it had to be set on a higher fan curve compared to the NH-D15. But I do like IceGiants Thermal tech just the cooler is huge and will cover up a lot of the MOBO and RAM. 2020年8月13日 · NH-D15 have 65mm tall memory clearance in single fan mode, or rear/mid fan configuration for typical machine setups.. as pictured below, the fins have a cut to allow taller RAM kits.. Aug 11, 2020 #3

2021年4月9日 · There's absolutely no problem with two fans with one offset. I ran my NH-D15 for years like that with tall heatspreader RAM. Absolutely zero problems and it doesn't affect the cooling performance. If you notice the fins on the heatsink, they're designed to have fans mounted like that, unlike heatsinks that have fixed holes in the stack, etc...

2005年2月15日 · As a D14 and D15 owner i suggest looking at pictures of the D14, since it has 4x built in little rubbery spacers to get the fans away from the fins a little to be push and pull compatible. If you use low ram sticks a D14 with fans from a D15 will win almost any race against its newer brother by a bumper.

2023年10月31日 · With a 14900K it will be sufficient to cool it, you just might have a little unrealized performance compared to a 360mm AIO which will let it boost slightly higher. But the Peerless Assassin beats out the NH-D15 at the same noise level. Bonus points if you delid your 14900k. I did that on my 4790K back in the day and also had great results.
