Nob was a Hobbit of Bree and a servant at The Prancing Pony. Nob had been working for Barliman Butterbur at the inn for an unknown period of time in the late Third Age. When Frodo and his party arrived intending to stay the night, he attended to them and saw to their needs as with any other guest.

He worked for Barliman Butterbur at The Prancing Pony with Bob, where he served food and tended to any other needs guests might have. On September 29, T.A. 3018, [2] four Shire-hobbits came to The Prancing Pony. [1] .

2024年12月12日 · The Prancing Pony was a large inn and important gathering place at Bree. The inn was located just where the East Road bent round the foot of Bree-hill, within the dike that stretched around the town. The building was three stories tall with many windows.

Bob was a resident of Bree. Bob worked at the stables near the inn of The Prancing Pony. His counterpart was Nob, who worked as a servant at the inn. They were both hired by Barliman Butterbur, and make very minor appearances in the books; Nob more so than Bob, due only to his "slow-coachery". [1][2]

Nob was the servant of Barliman Butterbur. His duties varied from serving guests to tending to the needs of horses. Nob was friendly with another Hobbit-servant named Bob, who also served Barliman Butterbur. In October of 3018, the Hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin were travelling through Bree to Rivendell with great urgency.
