NUH Ophthalmology offers a comprehensive range of sub-specialties, diagnostic and therapeutic services for both adults and children. Our approach involves unique multi-disciplinary and multi-modality methodologies. We work closely with other specialties to provide comprehensive patient services and treatments.

The NUH Community Eye Clinics (CEC) was launched in August 2018 to enhance patients' access to eye care services. Managed by Optometrists and coordinators from the NUH Eye Surgery Centre, CECs aim to diagnose, treat and manage patients with stable and non-complex eye issues to minimise the need for frequent hospital appointments.

Dr Lennard Thean is a Senior Consultant practising in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Jurong Medical Centre (JMC), members of the National University Health System (NUHS). Prior to joining NTFGH and JMC in 2014, Dr Thean was the Clinical Director of Ophthalmology at National University Hospital (NUH) since 2002.
