After reviewing the paper SS-5 or SS-5 microprint, if we determine that a keying error has occurred, we correct the incorrect NUMIDENT record information using Numident Correction Processing (NCP) in the Social Security Number Application Processing (SSNAP).

Each compiled record includes fields for the name of the deceased, social security number, parents' names, gender, birth city and state or country, birth date, and death date.
